Astral Sorcery is a fascinating mod for Minecraft. It allows the player to cast spells through their character’s inventory. Each time the player has cast a spell, they will lose some of that spell’s energy. Energy can be restored by using an empty soul sand and an enchanted book. When a player has an empty soul sand and no books, then none of their spells are available. This mod changes all of this by resetting all of the spells to their last used state.
Certain spells depend on the player having certain levels of energy. The higher the levels of energy, the higher the spell level will be. An example of this is Necromancy. Necromancy spells require an incredibly high amount of energy and are only available to players who have reached a high enough level to have them in their inventories. With the Astral Sorcery Mod, this is now an entirely optional feature.
When a player casts a spell and loses some of its energy, it now is possible to pick it back up again. If the spell in question is used on a piece of armor or something similar to that, the energy used to cast the spell will be regained. In addition to being able to pick up spells that have been dropped, items which are in the player’s inventory that have become unusable can also be picked up. This is a convenient feature.
As with most other mods, Astral Sorcery Minecraft Mod also adds some new spells. A new spell, Time Bomb, causes the world to go crazy. Once anything is in the way of the time bomb, it will be destroyed, and everything within a two mile radius will die.
Time Bomb is a damage dealing, high damage, area effect spell. However, it will not destroy any of the player’s blocks. It does not destroy the chunk that the spell has come from. Only the area directly around where the spell is cast will be damaged. Time Bomb can cause a massive amount of damage to a player, depending on how much health they have. Fortunately, it won’t kill them.
The Time Bomb Spell can only be cast on a Block which has an empty block beside it. Once the spell has been cast, the block will instantly fill with energy and become unusable until it is repaired. Repairing a block which is already unusable will consume an extra energy charge. Each charge used on the repaired block will add another level of energy.
