When I first started playing MineCraft, I knew very little about it. My only real experience of it was when my friend asked me to build him a farm for his fish and asked me to come help him build it. I figured I would figure out the mod and get more into it, but after a couple months passed, I had nothing better to do. I started looking for some ways to learn more about this mod, so I could start playing better advancements in it.
The way the mod was initially designed, was a world map that you traveled through with an infinite number of chunks that were randomly generated. You would mine the land, plant trees and creatures, and take care of your farm. The way advancements work in the mod is quite unique but easy enough to grasp. You would be able to see all of your progress by hovering your cursor over your crops growth, so you could keep track of your achievements and set goals for yourself. It’s a great way to keep the game simple without being too hard on the eyes.
While playing in survival game mode, I realized there are some better advancements in the game than the vanilla game. The first one is cave improvement. I discovered this when I started digging in the ocean floor. It’s really fun and useful when playing in survival game mode because now I can build bridges, houses, and pillboxes underwater. It’s even better when combined with the newer building tools in the game.
The next advancement I want to talk about is mining. This is where the game starts to get interesting. I started doing it in the ocean and soon found other islands were starting to mine for resources. While playing in vanilla game mode, I would mine my own resources and sell them for profit, but in this new game mode I need to mine for resources and turn them into resources before I can sell them. Mining is also a great way to earn extra money because sometimes you mine something and get more for that resource than what you mined for.
Another great thing I found while playing in the survival mode is crops. You can plant crops in a farm and they will grow and become part of your crops and plants. This was my first use of crops and it was really helpful when I had nothing else to plant. This way I could still feed my animals and I didn’t have to worry about all the crops I destroyed while trying to grow something.
In conclusion, the Better Advancements Minecraft Mod really improves the vanilla game. It’s fun and provides a better gaming experience. I’m not the best at the game, but it’s always helped me get passed the frustration sometimes. If you think you’re stuck or bored, you might want to check it out. It’s free and has only been released for a couple weeks!
