Here is a brief rundown of the best mods for Minecraft submitted so far, from what I understand. Best Minecraft Survival mods. Vanilla or mod version. As always a recommendation depends on personal choice and personal preferences.
Best Minecraft Essentials Mod: Survival. It has everything that a survival oriented mod should have and then some. I have never used Extended Cracks, but the first thing I saw when I started using minecraft was that it had some pretty nice features. It also has the Dynamic Lights mod which I find quite cool and adds a lot more detail to the game, especially at night time where it is just stunning with the new night sky.
Best Minecraft Villager Mod: My decision on this one is actually an opinion, based on my own games with my kids and other family members and friends. As always, as with most minecraft mods, mine has a bit of an issue with bugs. But overall I find that it is still a solid mod, worth trying, and overall very good value for the price. It comes with a few other mods that could be worth looking into if you are considering getting a minecraft survival mod.
Best Minecraft Aquarium Mod: Another cool mod, but this one I feel needs to be given a shout out. With over 40+ recipes of all kinds of fish, plants, etc. you can grow almost any kind of fish or plant that can survive in the BiblioCraft aquarium. This mod also comes with enough items to build six different sized aquariums. For the price it is definitely worth checking out.
Best Minecraft Aquarium Mod: This one comes with its fair share of pros and cons. As it turns out, BiblioCraft made an aquavit mod that adds very cool features and functions such as Dynamic Lights. This mod allows you to place actual light sources on your aquarium to give it some depth and make it come alive. I found that this really added some realism to the mod, although it does tend to make it way too bright of a light. This isn’t really something you would want to look at while you are swimming or laying around in the aquarium.
Overall these are the four minecraft survival mods that I believe are the best for beginners. There are some really great ones that can really make your gaming experience more fun and exciting, like the Dynamic Lights mod. However, if you want to get a little more creative with your mod, you might want to check out BiblioCraft’s Animal Mod, which adds many new survival mods that would be extremely useful for beginners. You will also need to check out their other survival mods, such as their Auto Heal mod and the WorldGuard Mod, which will help keep your zombies and monsters from grinding your base.
