Inventory Tweaks is a major overhaul of the vanilla Minecraft game, and many people are looking for a “How-To” on using this in their builds. Unfortunately, I don’t have one to offer yet. But I can tell you about the new tweaks that are in this version. The biggest one is a complete overhaul of the furnishing system, making it much easier to craft all sorts of new items.
To start with, here’s how Inventory Tweaks works: chests, buckets, and furnaces now stack to a greater extent. This means that you can store more items in your inventory. You can also carry more. You can even stack multiple stacks of the same item in one chest. And because everything is in bulk, you don’t need to go through the usual inventory balance process.
You can also create recipes that make use of materials from around the block world, which greatly increases the variety of items you can craft. For example, if you wanted to craft items that produce charcoal, you could do so, but you would not be able to craft charcoal dust. If you wanted to craft gravel, you could. There was an internal glitch discovered when doing this – if you craft more than your inventory allows, you get a message saying that something is bugged.
But the biggest change is that you no longer need to edit your inventory after creating a recipe. You simply click on the newly created recipe in the right hand pane of the inventory and place the item in your hotbar. As you craft the recipe, it will be saved in your data folder, allowing you to pull it up later if you want. This saves you a lot of time, since it takes you time to search for the recipes you need. With the new changes, crafting only takes a few seconds. It will even give you hints as to what you should craft next.
This isn’t the only major overhaul in Aion Online’s inventory system, but it is a very substantial one. I can personally see around 20% less inventory clutter when using these new additions. This alone could make you spend an hour or two less in-game, which is a big plus.
You can see these new inventory features and more in the Aion Online patch 1.2, which just released recently. If you’d rather not use the new inventory system, however, there are still some minor tweaks you can do. For instance, if you have a lot of arrows, you can adjust your bow skill to be less useful if you’re not using them. Similarly, if you have lots of cloth and metal pieces, you can reduce your armor by using less pieces of those. The item tweaks aren’t huge, but they do make a noticeable difference in the amount of clutter you see in your inventory. So if you’ve been spending half an hour or more crafting recipes that never go through, don’t worry – you’ll barely notice it’s there.
