A Thermal Foundation Mod is a simple mod that I made a while ago. I just wanted to do some research on why Minecraft has so much heat in the game, and then I saw a need for a solution. After I started to play with the game, I noticed that Thermal Foundation was the most effective way to lower the temperature in any area. So, I made this mod, and I decided to share it with everybody.
First of all, I want to explain why I made this mod tutorial. This is a simple mod that you install, and it will detect if you have Thermal Foundation installed, and it will lower the temperature around those areas. Now, I won’t get too much into the specifics, but basically what happens is that, when you are at a location with a very hot environment, such as in the desert, and you have Thermal Foundation installed, you will notice that it will prevent you from burning your food, because it will lower the temperatures around you by up to 80%. It is very effective, and I really wanted to get people into using it, so I made this tutorial.
You might be wondering what I am talking about. Well, imagine walking through a hot, sunny area, and you don’t even have a shade over your head. You feel the hottest part of the day, and you’re just sweating bullets. That’s because your body doesn’t have any way to cool down, and you end up staying warmer than you should. This happens because Thermal Foundation makes it impossible for you to get too hot, no matter what. It works the same way when you are in a cold area, because you can’t get too cold either.
Now, that I got that out of the way, I want to talk about why Thermal Foundation is a wonderful thing to use in MineCraft. One of the main problems people have with mod packs is that sometimes the heat sources aren’t that obvious. Like, you have a furnace in the middle of the desert, and you can see it, but there are two heat sources right next to it, which you might not see, so you heat up your armor with your furnace, and you have to walk a ways to pick up your weapons. If it was up close to that desert sand, you wouldn’t need heat sinks, because you could just keep on walking, but since it’s so far away, your armor would still take damage. That’s because the heat sources are right next to it!
By using Thermal Foundation, everything is crystal clear. No heat sources, just heat. Also, since Thermal Foundation has a built in clock, it will keep the clock working around the clock, showing you how many hours you have left to do whatever you need to do. There is even an alarm that will sound if you aren’t moving around enough.
I don’t know how you can tell if Thermal Foundation is your favorite thing or not. It probably isn’t because it really helps you out with the minecraft mod, but I am sure there are other ways you can use it. I did enjoy using it though, and I think it would be a good addition to any kind of a survival guide for Minecraft.
